Mister Half-day absent

I thought I am already late when I arrived at the school. I am not used to waking-up very late in the morning to join the early morning rush. Aside from that, the school is very strict in monitoring the “not-so-punctual” kids to avoid something that I would not wish to discuss. This policy or should I say, law, started last year and fortunately, I got into the list only twice! But that two lates gave me a total headache.

But that’s not the topic. Now, back to the story. I arrived just when my first subject is about to start in five minutes. Physics. . .physics. . .physics. I don’t hate Physics, but I am not yet used to solving mathematical problems in a science subject, (even if I had a lot of it in Chemistry last year!) I am not saying I enjoyed it a lot, (maybe in some part) but thank goodness we are instructed to group ourselves according to Learning Teams. “That would be better.” I whispered to myself. . .We had two group activities. We tried our best to score high but to no avail. Because both lab activities’ results are almost failed!

After break, our TLE adviser sent a sophomore to call me out. We were about to conduct an election for the new set of officers in the school STEP Federation. I was the outgoing president that’s why I am the one who’s in-charge in the information dissemination, and there’s no one to help me out (I don’t know where the other officers are at this time!). I was instructed to locate the list of the current classroom STEP officers, which are passed to every other room for the finalization. I had a hard time locating it even if the campus was too small. Too small for a piece of paper floating around that could not be found. That stressed me out!

The sun was nearly up to its zenith. And every one that I inquired about the paper said that, “Ay kuya, kapapasa ko lang kay. . .”! (Sigh). Fortunately, I found this girl in the junior class who is instructed to pass the paper to the adviser. I immediately take hold of that sickening paper, and told the girl that I will take care of it.

After the letter was approved, I was now told to inform every section about the elections. And I was already worn out at that time! Thanks to this kind hearted pal, (I was not in the mood of publishing names, ^^) who covered up for me. (I don’t know if this pal saw my almost pale face because of exhaustion, or she just feel very generous enough to help).

The election started immedately after the students reached the maximum number to be able to start. But I wondered why even one senior is not around? I asked someone. And found out that they are already taking an announced test! I totally forgot about the test in our Scientific Research subject! Before I knew, I was running towards our room. I was afraid to miss a test in that subject. But I was too late to take the test and too stressed to think of the answers. I just asked the concerned teacher if I could take the test later this afternoon, and I was allowed to.

To make this already long story short, we had the elections. I was automatically appointed as the vice-president. Because that was the tradition. But as we are having our planning that followed immediately, I felt there’s something wrong with me. My vision blurred but just in a fraction of a second. And the left of my head started to ache. I feel that I was having migraine again. It was not that painful enough to avoid me to write an excuse letter. And just after the oath-taking of the newly selected officers, I brought the letter to my adviser and it was approved immediately.

I had a hard time walking and taking a ride. But fortunately, I was already in my room when the pain seems unbearable. But I managed to sleep after that.

I woke-up at passed 3 in the afternoon. Don’t worry (if you’re worrying, thanks, if not, never mind), I already feel fine while I’m writing this.

But I’m really worried about the test I missed. I hope that I would again be allowed to take a special test tomorrow.

That’s all for now. . .it’s me again. . .Ralph, maybe I should again take a nap now.
