Bridge to Terabithia

Last friday, after our first periodical exams, my classmates and I, went to hang-out and unwind in one of my classmates house.

I was very exhasted after our last three subjects (which are Trigo, Fil, and Com Ed.) that day. We decided to eat our lunch at Erian’s, because he’s one of my few classmates who live around New Princesa (which is the area just around our school).

We contributed to buy a can of corned beef. And before we eat, we browsed the channels of their t.v. for movies and animes. We watched Negima on Animax, Courage on Cartoon Network, and the like. We came to pass by Star Cinema and the channel is preparing for the next movie.

I read the title, and Ryan, while transferring the corned beef into a bowl, reacted and said, “Wui! Maganda daw ‘yan, papanoorin ko pa lang nga sana yan eh. . .”. So we agreed to watch the movie.

For those who already watched the film, I bet you know why I went home teary-eyed. . .^^

Below is the trailer from YouTube. Enjoy!

Kaitlyn Ashley Maher

I want to share with you this video from YouTube. This is the story. . .as we were browsing the net, we passed by the video of this 4 year old girl when she was auditioning for the AGT last year.

I know we were already late for this post. In fact she has a face book account (but I don’t know if hat’s really her’s, I’m thinking maybe it’s fan made). Here’s the link. You judge.

But all of us was awestruck when she sang. And here it is. . .happy viewing! Don’t forget to leave comments!

Mister Half-day absent

I thought I am already late when I arrived at the school. I am not used to waking-up very late in the morning to join the early morning rush. Aside from that, the school is very strict in monitoring the “not-so-punctual” kids to avoid something that I would not wish to discuss. This policy or should I say, law, started last year and fortunately, I got into the list only twice! But that two lates gave me a total headache.

But that’s not the topic. Now, back to the story. I arrived just when my first subject is about to start in five minutes. Physics. . .physics. . .physics. I don’t hate Physics, but I am not yet used to solving mathematical problems in a science subject, (even if I had a lot of it in Chemistry last year!) I am not saying I enjoyed it a lot, (maybe in some part) but thank goodness we are instructed to group ourselves according to Learning Teams. “That would be better.” I whispered to myself. . .We had two group activities. We tried our best to score high but to no avail. Because both lab activities’ results are almost failed!

After break, our TLE adviser sent a sophomore to call me out. We were about to conduct an election for the new set of officers in the school STEP Federation. I was the outgoing president that’s why I am the one who’s in-charge in the information dissemination, and there’s no one to help me out (I don’t know where the other officers are at this time!). I was instructed to locate the list of the current classroom STEP officers, which are passed to every other room for the finalization. I had a hard time locating it even if the campus was too small. Too small for a piece of paper floating around that could not be found. That stressed me out!

The sun was nearly up to its zenith. And every one that I inquired about the paper said that, “Ay kuya, kapapasa ko lang kay. . .”! (Sigh). Fortunately, I found this girl in the junior class who is instructed to pass the paper to the adviser. I immediately take hold of that sickening paper, and told the girl that I will take care of it.

After the letter was approved, I was now told to inform every section about the elections. And I was already worn out at that time! Thanks to this kind hearted pal, (I was not in the mood of publishing names, ^^) who covered up for me. (I don’t know if this pal saw my almost pale face because of exhaustion, or she just feel very generous enough to help).

The election started immedately after the students reached the maximum number to be able to start. But I wondered why even one senior is not around? I asked someone. And found out that they are already taking an announced test! I totally forgot about the test in our Scientific Research subject! Before I knew, I was running towards our room. I was afraid to miss a test in that subject. But I was too late to take the test and too stressed to think of the answers. I just asked the concerned teacher if I could take the test later this afternoon, and I was allowed to.

To make this already long story short, we had the elections. I was automatically appointed as the vice-president. Because that was the tradition. But as we are having our planning that followed immediately, I felt there’s something wrong with me. My vision blurred but just in a fraction of a second. And the left of my head started to ache. I feel that I was having migraine again. It was not that painful enough to avoid me to write an excuse letter. And just after the oath-taking of the newly selected officers, I brought the letter to my adviser and it was approved immediately.

I had a hard time walking and taking a ride. But fortunately, I was already in my room when the pain seems unbearable. But I managed to sleep after that.

I woke-up at passed 3 in the afternoon. Don’t worry (if you’re worrying, thanks, if not, never mind), I already feel fine while I’m writing this.

But I’m really worried about the test I missed. I hope that I would again be allowed to take a special test tomorrow.

That’s all for now. . .it’s me again. . .Ralph, maybe I should again take a nap now.

5:38PM on my clock.

O db? Special mention. . .haha

Mejo tumagal kami doon kasi pagkatapos kumain, nagpahinga pa nga kami. Feel at Home nga kami doon eh.

Haha.

A blogging experience. . .anyone?

I feel blessed that I had the chance to learn how to blog. When the we had the first workshop on basic blogging I feel so excited, because at last, I will now know what it is all about. Yesterday, as per instruction from Sir Joe, I opened the web browser and went to WordPress(dot)com so that I can start to create my free blogsite. The first activity that we did after we created our own sites is customizing it. I am very much willing to do it for I wanted to have a good blogsite. I almost spent all the time searching for themes that will suit my taste and the requirement that the header could be customized. And I ended up to the theme by Sadish entitled MistyLook. After that, Sir Joe gave us an assignment to search for pictures that we will upload to become the header of our blogs. I immediately searched for pictures on my friendster account, and found the picture while we were performing the Sayawit. I uploaded it, and found out that the picture could not be shown as a whole, and we must crop it. So I cropped the picture and adjusted it so that I could be seen in the header! Lol! And the day ended.

Today, we are introduced to the different buttons and its functions on the Dashboard when posting. We are instructed to make a blog about something we want. It’s up to us on what it is all about. I enjoyed this part because I could more likely review about a specific book and to make it more catchy, I included my experience before and after reading the book. Another topic is what is a tag and why is it important. I tried making tags on my blogs too! There are more topics like linking, uploading photos, and adding videos on the blog. But if I were to discuss about all those, it would take time, because our time on making this blog in about to end. Ah! This blog is maybe the last activity for today.

And. . .thats it! THAT’S ALL FOLKS
